Electrification’s Impact on DSO Grid Development

9:00 - 13:30 Regional Energy Policy Forum

12 of November, 2024 - Budapest Music Center, 1093 Budapest, Mátyás u. 8

In our future economies, the role of electrification in achieving net-zero targets is unquestionable, but the challenges are immense. Eurelectric’s Grid for Speed study suggests that distribution grid investments need to double to cope with the massive electrification of transport, heating and industry, and to integrate renewables.

The Regional Energy Policy Forum aimed to bring together energy experts from the CEE region and beyond to discuss where we stand in electrification. Where has electrification made good progress, where do bottlenecks lie, and where does regulation need to step in?
