TTF spot gas prices have displayed unprecedented highs on 02.03.2018. Researchers at REKK analysed the possible fundamental reasons behind the price hike on TTF, as well as the market situation in Hungary. Assuming the current low Dutch production, should we expect similar price spikes in the future? How does the changing western orientation of Ukrainian import flows affect the wholesale gas price in Europe? What opportunities does this offer for Hungarian traders?
