At REKK MarketMonitoring Club events, we analyse current energy market issues with a small group of key players in the sector. Inthis eventwe fcused on the electricity market integration processes in the Central and Eastern European region and their expected impacts. In February this year, trading resumed at the Ukrainian-Hungarian border and HUPX will join ADEX in the second half of 2024, making it the most liquid spot electricity trading hub in the region. In the context of these developments, we discussed the medium and longer-term trading opportunities and presented the results of a modelling exercise carried out by REKK and its partners, which assessed different electricity market scenarios in Ukraine and their impact on the Ukrainian electricity market and on trade in the region.
